In a thrilling overtime battle, Canada defeated the United States 109-103 to win the bronze medal at the FIBA Basketball World Cup. Dillon Brooks led the way for Canada with 39 points, including a record-breaking seven 3-pointers.

The game was close throughout, with neither team able to pull away. The United States led by five points with just over two minutes remaining in regulation, but Canada rallied to tie the game and force overtime.

In overtime, Canada took control of the game. Brooks hit a 3-pointer to give Canada the lead, and Gilgeous-Alexander added another 3-pointer to extend the lead to six. The United States was unable to close the gap, and Canada held on for the victory.
